What Is U.S. TAI Karate?

The Tradition of U.S. TAI Karate in North Augusta

U.S. TAI Karate is a traditional martial-arts system founded on the principles of respect, precision, and personal growth. The art emphasizes powerful basics, practical self-defense, and strong moral character — qualities that have shaped generations of martial artists across the Southeast. Our North Augusta school proudly continues that legacy. Under the guidance of Sensei Frank Beall, a senior black belt instructor trained directly under Mr. Virgil Kimmey, we teach the same curriculum and values that have been part of this community for decades. Mr. Kimmey established the first U.S. TAI Karate programs in the CSRA, helping bring traditional martial arts to North Augusta long before most modern schools existed. His dedication to discipline, humility, and family continues through our students today.
